How neat is this?? Gogas found a cabinet, and turned it into a key cubby. I'm going to get some more keys, and we'll mount it somewhere central and voila! Keys for the various ship rooms.
I found that thing for a dollar at a thrift store. I wasn't sure what I was going to use it for, but figured it would come in handy. The cabinet was originally a dart board, but those pieces were easily unscrewed and removed. It left some holes in the wood, but no matter.
Then I ran into some steampunky keys on Ebay that were super cheap from China that look pretty good and came in huge lots. Some keys were too small to fit on their own hooks, but whatevs. A lot of the keys only look good from one side (like they were part of a mold that was flat on one side and molded on the other), but it is mostly for show anyway.
